James Franco is reportedly under consideration to play Jason Bourne in the next installment of the rebooted franchise.

Sources at the after-party for Franco’s new movie 127 Hours – which is already considered an Oscar frontrunner – say Bourne screenwriter Tony Gilroy “made a beeline for Franco, asking to be introduced to him”.

A source close to Gilroy played down the rumour, saying “He was just there to see the movie.”
