” has regained its champion title at North American Box Office. A day after it was reported that “” could win at the chart since studio estimates claimed that it pulled in about $225,000 higher than the action drama, the true numbers have come out, stating otherwise.

According to Box Office Mojo, the final result released on Monday, April 12 mentions “Clash of the Titans” has grossed $26.6 million over its second weekend. Though it drops 56.5% in ticket sales, the movie is still named the winner at the chart with more than $1 million gap between its revenue and that of “Date Night”.

20th Century Fox, meanwhile, could be a little bit disappointed since the and -starring flick obtains far less than it was earlier mentioned. Previously said grossing $27.1 million on its debut weekend, the film apparently only rakes in $25.2 million.

Final Result of Top Ten Movies at Box Office for April 9-11:

Falling 56.1%, as well as one spot back on the charts from last week was the 3D remake of the classic ’80s Greek-mythology film Clash of the Titans starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes. Date Night is now out in theatres today, so make sure you see it to support James and everyone who worked on the film! Here’s a small summary and TV trailer for you to watch and see.

In New York City, a case of mistaken identity turns a bored married couple’s attempt at a glamorous and romantic evening into something more thrilling and dangerous.

And some reviews on James’ performance in the film:

Mark Whalberg in a shirtless role Salman Khan fans would rave about and James Franco in a quick cameo show good timing and complement the lead pair well.  ( Source )

However, the nice little additions of Mark Ruffalo, Kristen Wiig, James Franco and Mila Kunis are fantastic.  ( Source )

Of the bunch Franco and Kunis share a comedic five minutes that almost feels more like a rushed “Saturday Night Live” rehearsal run, but it remains funny.  ( Source )

Mila Kunis and James Franco play Taste and Whippit, aka the real Tripplehorns. They play an amazingly dumb young couple, who are fantastically  trashy, but also madly in love.  ( Source )

Awesome news for you Franco fans!

Mark Wahlberg and James Franco are set to crash Steve Carell and Tina Fey’s “Date Night.”

Wahlberg and Franco have signed on for supporting roles in the Shawn Levy-helmed comedy for 20th Century Fox. Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji P. Henson and Kristen Wiig have also boarded the project.

Levy said after landing a top-end ensemble for his upcoming “Night at the Museum” sequel, he aimed high in casting “Date Night” with the goal of populating all the supporting roles “with formidable actors.”

“And people just kept saying yes,” added Levy. “I think people just really wanted to work with Tina and Steve.”

Penned by Josh Klausner, comedy revolves around a married couple who find themselves in harm’s way after their routine date night goes horribly awry.

Wahlberg plays a successful and crazily buff securities expert who flirts with Fey’s character. Franco portrays a not-too-bright conman and petty criminal. Meester is onboard as the couple’s babysitter. Henson plays the one good cop who believes the couple is in danger, and Common portrays a villain. Wiig, who worked with Fey on “Saturday Night Live,” rounds out the cast as the actress’ best friend.

Levy and Tom McNulty are producing through their Fox-based 21 Laps banner.

Gordon Green Has Franco Stoned Again in ‘Your Highness’

Indie Director turned comedy hit-maker David Gordon Green, who helmed last year’s Pineapple Express, is apparently going to stay within the same genre with another stoner comedy Your Highness.  The cast includes Danny McBride and has now added James Franco, who famously went Spiccoli on us all in last year’s “Express.”  Film Junk explains:

…it is another stoner comedy, but this time instead of mashing it up with the action genre, they’re going full on fantasy… Danny McBride will play an “arrogant, lazy prince who must complete a quest to save his father’s kingdom”, and we have also learned that James Franco is attached to co-star, although his exact role has yet to be revealed.
